Thanks so much! 🙂
Mar 21, 2015 @ 01:23:17
Youbetcha! 😀
Mar 20, 2015 @ 12:24:50
Practicing!
Mar 20, 2015 @ 12:13:32
I bet you typed that at lightning speed!
Mar 19, 2015 @ 16:15:00
Whoohoo! Peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers! A peck of pickled peppers, peter piper picked! 😀
Mar 19, 2015 @ 13:45:35
Waiting!
Mar 19, 2015 @ 13:45:15
That one is very tough. But remember, I practiced for, like, 50 years–but not every day, mind you! 😉
Mar 19, 2015 @ 13:43:51
Okay! I’ll give it a try. You may end up watching me giggle, though! 🙂
Mar 19, 2015 @ 13:41:24
Yes. But I have to strike a balance between down time and productive time. 😉
Mar 19, 2015 @ 13:37:20
She’s so bossy, isn’t she?
Mar 18, 2015 @ 12:52:56
That’s talent.
Mar 18, 2015 @ 12:50:33
🙂
Mar 17, 2015 @ 14:35:19
Enjoy it–I’m playing caregiver now. Back to the old nursing routine. Ha!
Mar 17, 2015 @ 03:29:39
Leith like teeth. Don’t make it more difficult! I simply can’t say ‘dismisseth us.’ I had to give up. I end up all th th th. Have fun!
Mar 16, 2015 @ 20:51:34
The hardest was unique New York. I can’t seem to get it right even the first time!
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:26:47
Maybe just the death to my reputation for not saying bad words… 😉
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:25:25
Question: how do you pronounce “Leith?” “Lee-ith” or “Leeth”? Or some other way? I’ll give anything a go and tape it and do another movie. The results should be hilarious!
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:21:54
It’s evidence that I have way too much time on my hands!
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:17:10
That’s the only way to do it! 🙂
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:14:50
The others were: “rubber baby buggy bumper,” “toy boat” and “unique New York.” Try them. They aren’t easy!
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:12:39
I don’t know. We will both have to wait and see what pops into my dizzy head!
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:09:27
I laugh every time I flub one of these up! 🙂
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:08:33
Thanks for the compliment, Lori. I think I sounded like a Kindergarten teacher trying to calm down her class! 😉
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:02:02
Hey, great to see you, Gayle! Hope all is well in your world!
Mar 16, 2015 @ 19:01:26
Well you make a movie and do them faster without flubbing them up! ;
Mar 16, 2015 @ 17:34:48
Cute. You need to say them faster. That is the true test. Al’s twister is tough.
Mar 16, 2015 @ 16:49:10
You’re adorable! And your tongue didn’t seem to get twisted at all…lol!
Mar 16, 2015 @ 10:03:09
That was pretty cool to see you “in person.” You were so calm. Your soothing voice could do a guided meditation tape. I’m impressed that you could figure out the video thing. I don’t think I’d even attempt it. But, never say never. Thanks for the fun video.
Mar 16, 2015 @ 08:01:23
Thanks for the laugh on a Monday morning. 🙂
Mar 15, 2015 @ 20:46:33
What can we expect from you next????
Mar 15, 2015 @ 20:30:36
I’m most disappointed because I could not hear your tongue twisters. My dinosaur computer has decided that I no longer need sound.
I could read your lips well enough to recognize Peter picked a peck of pickled peppers 🙂
Mar 15, 2015 @ 20:11:16
Awesome … make sure you do it fast!
Mar 15, 2015 @ 15:22:11
Congrats on figuring out the video thing. I’m not so savvy (yet).
Mar 15, 2015 @ 06:06:37
Himself tried ‘unique new york.’ The third one came out ‘bleugh bleugh bleugh.’
Here’s one for you that I’ve never been able to say:
‘The Leith police dismisseth us.’
Let me know how you do.
Mar 14, 2015 @ 22:22:36
Let’s hope not. 😕
Mar 14, 2015 @ 19:22:37
Lol you are so funny, love it lol
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:30:02
I kept playing it back and wondered why I sounded like an elementary school teacher trying to keep her class calm!!!
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:28:17
I knew if anyone would throw that one at me, it would be you, Al. And I was afraid of it. I’ve tried it lots of times and up saying bad, bad words. I’ll give it a go for your amusement, but I’m not going to kid anyone, saying the “s” tongue twisters even once is next to impossible.
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:26:17
I see how you have to be careful enunciating the first two! The red lorry, yellow lorry isn’t too bad, but that old selling of sea shells is going to be the death of me! 🙂
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:24:10
That’s a good one. I tried and I could do it–I’ll prove it my next video!
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:23:16
I’ll get right on those. The woodchuck one I know and can do. The “s” one is going to take some practice… 🙂
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:22:15
I had to figure out how to make a movie to do this, so it was a good learning experience for me. And I’ve been practicing those silly tongue twisters for 50 years–I should be good at them! 🙂
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:20:54
I hope so to. My son says: “It’s right to the nursing home for you, Mom!” Ungrateful child! 😉
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:19:57
Those “s” ones are really heard. I’ll start practicing! 🙂
Mar 14, 2015 @ 18:19:15
I practiced these for, like, 50 years… 😐
Mar 14, 2015 @ 16:34:29
Your talents never end!
Mar 14, 2015 @ 15:48:54
hahaha … those were great. I’m not real good at tongue twisters.
When I was about 10 my friends and I would recite:
She sells sea shells by the sea shore.
I forget the rest.
Fun post, Lorna !!!😃
Mar 14, 2015 @ 11:22:44
I love your crazy, quirky self, Lorna! Wonderful tongue twisters from a dizzy blonde. My youngest daughter has some pics of her silly blonde self, in her old business name, “The Blonde Blender.” Yep, Felicia Oldrieve is my 29 year old go-getter. I hope she will be able to take care of me, someday. ha ha!
Mar 14, 2015 @ 10:01:23
Your talent never ceases to amaze me. I have a tiny and occasional lisp so never mind tongue twisters from moi. And, it was so much fun to see your lovely face in that vid. ❤ 🙂
Mar 14, 2015 @ 08:49:10
Great job Lorna. Anotherday2 paradise has a variation of my childhood favorite, though it is slightly different.
Silly Sally sold several shiny seashells on the seashore. If silly Sally sold several shiny seashells on the seashore, how many seashells did silly Sally sell? Also….. How much wood could a Woodchuck chuck if a Woodchuck could chuck wood? Thanks for brightening my day.
Mar 14, 2015 @ 08:15:16
I didn’t know some of these. Thanks for sharing!
We discovered one about two months ago. We were out dancing, and I wife asked how was my “waltz with Ruth” … She struggled saying it … laughed as we tried to say it fast three times … then couldn’t wait to tell Ruth.
Mar 14, 2015 @ 07:54:07
Hahaha. I just let hubby watch this, and he came up with two that he and his naughty cousins used to love. You do have to say them fast and a few times, to get the full effect.
#1 “Polish it behind the door.”
#2 “Shut up the shutters and sit in the shop.”
My personal childhood favourites were,
“Red lorry, yellow lorry,” and
“She sells seashells on the seashore.
The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore,
I’m sure she sells seashore shells.” 🙄
Mar 14, 2015 @ 07:06:59
I remember all of those!! Not particularly good at them, however. Here’s one to try. I know you never curse, so the pressure is on!
“I slit a sheet, a sheet I slit. How many sheets did I slit.?” Say very fast three times and then wash your mouth out with soap.
P.S. Now I know why you moved to the West Coast….to become a movie producer. Aha.
Mar 14, 2015 @ 00:32:06
VERY impressive! My grandfather also taught us tongue-twisters. (Guess that is what they did for entertainment before television.) Try “Big bad bug’s blood.” That one always flummoxed me. 🙂
Mar 13, 2015 @ 23:09:08
Those were fun but what I especially enjoyed was hearing your beautiful voice! You, my friend, have a “radio voice!” Nice to see you having so much fun 😊
