Before you call 911 and brace for news that another part of me is disintegrating, blowing up or falling off, put down the phone and take a deep breath.
That’s what I had to do.
I have good news. You heard me. Good news.

No, no, no. This is not the kind of good news I’m talking about, although, I may want to look into this later. I’m not a “numbers” person, but this seems too good to be true.
And it’s all because a very influential author and blogger read my book, liked it a lot, and wrote a snappy review which she posted on Amazon, Goodreads, and her blog.

We writers love analogies, so here’s one for us: Wonder Woman is to Awesome Crime Fighting as Paulette is to Spectacular Writing and Human Being
Who is this extraordinary author/blogger? None other than Paulette Mahurin, author of the wildly successful, critically acclaimed and award-winning novel, The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap. This book is taking the literary world by storm and all the proceeds are going to a cause near and dear to her heart: animal rescue.
She just introduced her many followers to me in a post, which includes information about me, my book and her glowing, eloquent review. Click here to hop over to her blog to see what she had to say about my little memoir. Her review is after all the stuff about my book.
Here’s just a little snippet of what she said: “There were so many wonderful, poignant, heartbreaking, funny, delightful and sexy parts that take the reader into what it is to be human, without pretense; the raw open honest authentic facing of all that one is, is brilliantly expressed.” And that’s just a snippet…
But wait! There’s more!
Through some sort of magical star-power that Paulette has, her review was picked up by The Kerry Dwyer Daily, an online newspaper (that goes out to hundreds of people who are Tweet-a-holics). The e-newspaper was created to support Indie Writers. Her blog article about little old me and my memoir is front page news TODAY!

We interrupt the routine chaos with breaking news. Lorna and her memoir just made news outside her family and circle of blog friends. Yes, I know. Even this reporter is stunned.
Can you believe it? I can’t.

I’m a highly sensitive cat, man. This shocking news has me floored and the idea of all the bright lights of possible quasi-fame, well, you know I gotta prepare for that. Do you think these shades suit my face?
If this doesn’t speed up my butt-healing process, I don’t know what will!

More breaking news: We’re Lorna’s medical team and we’re happy to report that her bottom is looking up. She should be back in the swing of things in no time, no ifs, ands, or butts about it.
Thank you, Paulette and everyone, for supporting me in my time of need, which, as you know by now, is always. And thank you for enduring my compound and complicated sentences with way too many commas and “ands.” People, you are the BEST! See you next week!
