Welcome back to this weekly (as opposed to weakly) attempt to “Occupy the Blog-o-Sphere” each Thursday. I offer this hopefully uplifting message to brighten your day and bring something buoyant into your life. As you move through your day with a renewed outlook, may you pass it along.

For today, let’s remember that we’re all people who basically want and need the same things. Essentially what we want and need are the basic necessities to thrive, to feel loved, and to be treated with respect and dignity.

We may have different ideas about how to get those things, but we pretty much want and need the same things. Let’s remember that about each other. Then maybe we can figure out the details more productively and humanely.

This song came to mind as I was thinking of this message. May it stay with you today as a reminder that we’re all just people who need each other…
