Welcome to my weekly adventure to “Occupy the Blog-o-Sphere” each Thursday. I offer this hopefully uplifting picture and quote to brighten your day and bring something buoyant into your life. As you move through your day with a renewed outlook, may you pass it along.

Okay. I'll admit that this cuddly guy is not tops on most people's list of profound and motivational figures. But he sure looks great in red and was my son's favorite character until the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came along (a sad day in Pooh's and my life).
“Don’t underestimate the value of Doing Nothing, of Just Going Along, Listening to all the Things You Can’t Hear, and Not Bothering.”
Winnie the Pooh, Stuffed-With-Fluff Philosopher
I know you can’t live this way all the time, but in this hectic world, most of us aren’t very good at slowing ourselves down to notice and appreciate our life that is happening while we are otherwise occupied. We can learn a great deal from those who know the gift of relaxing, even if those “in the know” are imaginary characters or critters with whom we live.

Sometimes I think Scrappy is challenging me to a "Relax-Off." He'll win, paws-down, every time because he's had so much more practice!

Oh, yes! I’ll never forget. You poured on the best guilt trip on that bear–all for Alex’s sake. Good thing he has his Aunt Tina covering his back, because he has a wimpy Mom!

Couldn’t agree more…

And he knows it, too! 🙂

Great advice. I just wish I could listen to it myself! 😉

The art of decompressing. If we could just be like Scrappy and my Marshmellow. Okay – he is 22 years old so in cat age, I think, that is
a biggy number – but when I see him all cuddled up and not having a care in the world, I think – “I want to be a cat”.
A good reminder that everything will be there tomorrow so don’t make it so important today.
Namaste,
Izzy xoxox

Scrappy and Pooh. Perfect role models. 🙂

Remember the day I attcked POOH! 🙂
Mar 15, 2012 @ 14:12:06
Thanks! Scrappy is up for the challenge (or should I say down for the challenge?)! 🙂
Mar 15, 2012 @ 14:11:01
Glad to hear from you, Peter. Hope all is well with you.
Mar 15, 2012 @ 14:09:38
Amen!
Mar 15, 2012 @ 14:05:53
I love Pooh and he was very Zen even then!
Mar 15, 2012 @ 14:05:09
May it be so for all of us!

Thanks for catching that extra “and.” I look it a post so many times and and (just kidding) still miss obvious goofs…
I’ll go in and fix it now. 🙂

I still love Pooh. But I like Eeyore and Tigger a lot too. That sounds like a good start to a poem.
…and not bothering. I like it again.
Hey, you have an extra “and” in your opening paragraph every week, and i just can’t let it go. LOL

May my fluffy stuffing fall out and scatter – in honour of Pooh.

Lil Poo is tops in my book. The quote of his you give here certainly works for me today. Thank you!

Scrappy’s got the right idea.
Mar 15, 2012 @ 08:16:15
I’ve always loved Winnie the Poo and thought he had a lot of useful things to say about life. I know very little about Mr Turtle but I’m sure he’s a useful guy to have in your corner
