At six months old, most infants are crawling. Lorna’s Voice turns 6 months old today. I’m crawling around now and just think of the trouble I can get into! Wanna hear what I’ve been doing since I was born? Well, I’m gonna tell you anyway.
So far, Lorna’s Voice has…
…logged about 22,800 visitors (1,433 misdirected by 600+ different creepy and plain inexplicable Internet Search Terms). Of course, some many most of these visitors were repeat offenders fans, including, (gulp) some of the Creepy Searchers.

Confetti, really? Aw, shucks. And, Creepy Searchers, please take note of the uniformed officer packing heat.
…posted 167 brilliant, slap-your-knee, spit-out-your [insert beverage of choice] posts. If you read them all, you know more about me than anyone in the world, except the other people who read this blog.
…received 3,850 comments (given the number of visitors, either I’ve left A LOT of people speechless or there are more lurkers out there than I care to imagine).
…attracted 115 loyal, wonderful, I-want-to-hug-you subscribers.
…solicited 58 indecipherable SPAM—Senseless Pointless Annoying Message—messages (not unlike the indecipherable SPAM—Stuff Posing As Meat—found on your grocer’s shelf).
…loyally followed 81 amazing, funny, insightful, talented and diverse bloggers, making pithy, witty, sagely comments with discriminate use of emoticons and exclamation points! 😉
NOTE: By the time this post is published, most of these stats will be wrong. That’s okay, I’m used to being wrong. I’m sorry. I just wanted to celebrate another arbitrary milestone and post something really short and hopefully sweet.

Aw, ta-hank-you very much (remember Mr. Tudball from the Carol Burnett show?). I’ll be paring down the number of posts now that I’ve gotten the bulk of my story out, but there are still stories to tell, so I’ll be writing onward and upward!
Nov 14, 2011 @ 10:08:39
Thanks, so much!

Like your blog soooooo much. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Although I may have some difficulty in reading some of your posts, I can read fun and optimism from your blog. Have learned much from your posts.
Happy weekend!

Oh, I didn’t feel disparaged, Al. You just validated what I was planning all along.
Nov 10, 2011 @ 13:24:47
Thanks so much. It sure is going so much better than I ever dreamed.
Nov 10, 2011 @ 12:43:30
Hi Lorna
I’m glad blogging has turned out to be such a full-filling exercise for you
I’m sure great things lay ahead with so much positive energy!
Nov 10, 2011 @ 12:36:11
I certainly didn’t mean to disparage how often you post. But I know it can get burdensome that often and that takes the fun out of it.
Anyway, it’s ALWAYS a good read whenever you post. The bogosphere’s loss will be the quiltosphere’s gain!
Nov 10, 2011 @ 12:22:42
Congrats!!! I love reading your posts. :0)
Nov 10, 2011 @ 10:52:10
I’ll drink some tea to that! Thanks! And hope you stop by again to comment. 🙂
Nov 10, 2011 @ 10:49:14
Thanks so much. I intend to keep writing until I have a book in hand–my book, that is! 🙂
Nov 10, 2011 @ 10:48:23
I’ve got some great news for you, Al. The once-a-day posts are coming to an end by next week. I HAVE to stop the madness for your sake and mine. I needed to get my story out and it’s about two posts from being finished. I have some stories from my childhood that I still need to develop to complete the time-line from birth to pre-teen, but those will be done, at most 3 posts a week while I work on putting my book together and my quilt art and my life in general.
So things at Lorna’s Voice will slow down. I’m getting hoarse! 😉
Nov 10, 2011 @ 10:43:52
I don’t remember life without this blog. It’s been the key that has unlocked the book inside me. And all of you have helped me. Thanks so much! 🙂
Nov 10, 2011 @ 10:42:34
Thanks Terri!
Nov 10, 2011 @ 10:42:19
Just try and stop me…well, you wouldn’t, but there are those who might. 😉 Just kidding (I think). 🙂
Nov 10, 2011 @ 10:40:37
Thanks so much!
Nov 10, 2011 @ 10:39:42

Congrats Lorna!

Congrats on 6 months – I’m coming up on 6 months, too, but I took most of the summer off.
I love your blog, your posts, and your pics, especially. Carry on…
Nov 09, 2011 @ 18:03:20
Congrats on 6 months! You’re the diaper dandy of the blogosphere. (For the non-sports fans among you, that’s a term given to a rookie who plays like a grizzled veteran)
My only problem with your blog is that you are so prolific, you’re hard to keep up with. But it’s worth it!
Your pal, Al

You are rockin’, girlfriend.
Nov 09, 2011 @ 17:01:17
Your posts are so much fun, even when you’re writing about about things that aren’t fun at all. You’ve got a book here!
Nov 09, 2011 @ 16:41:14
I’m still not convinced I know what I’m doing, but I’ll keep doing it–it seems to be working, whatever it is… 😉
Nov 09, 2011 @ 16:40:06
Thanks so much! Next it’s sticking my fingers into electrical sockets!
Thanks for stopping in and commenting! Please come again. 🙂
